Smarter
Agent map applets requires Java to be enabled in your browser or
email. Please select the web browser or email client you wish to
enable Java on.
If
you followed the steps for your application and you are still not
enabled, please ensure that personal firewall settings are not interfering
with your browser functions. If Java is not installed or the installation
is corrupted, download
Java for your computer.

Agent
supports most 3.x and higher browsers. If you cannot enable you browser
to support Smarter
Agent ,
please let us know via email
and include the brand and version number.
Netscape
Navigator 4.x and 6.x:
From
the menu bar, choose Edit > Preferences.
Select
the Advanced category.
Check
boxes labeled Enable Java and Enable JavaScript.
Netscape
Navigator 7:
From
the menu bar, choose Edit > Preferences.
Select
the Advanced category.
Check
box labeled Enable Java
JavaScript
is sometimes enabled by Smarter Agent developers for certain functions
that work in conjunction with Smarter Agent. To enable JavaScript,
repeat steps 1 and 2 and then click on Scripts and Windows.
Make
sure the box for "Enable JavaScript for Navigator" is
checked.
From the
Menu Bar, choose File > Preferences > Multimedia
Click to
check the box next to: Enable Java
AOL
Browser:
Launch AOL
Browser.
After the
browser loads, go to the Settings Menu on the top if the browser.
Click on
the pull-down window and click on Preferences
Click on
the Internet Properties (WWW) link in the Preferences dialogue
Click on
the Security TAB in the AOL Internet Properties dialogue
Choose 'Medium'
Security Level or lower.

Enabling
Java in Email Clients
Eudora:
From
the menu bar, choose Tools > Options.
In
the Options window, scroll down and choose Viewing Mail
In
the Viewing Mail box, make sure that "Allow executables
in HTML content" is checked
Outlook
2000 (v9):
From
the menu bar, choose Tools > Internet Options.
Select
Security Tab
Select 'internet
zone' under Secure Content
Then
under Mail Format tab, go to Message Format andsend the message in format: HTML.

Outlook
Express:
From
the main menu bar, choose Tools > Options > Security.
Under the
heading 'Virus Protection' and subheading 'Select the Internet
Explorer security zone to use': Select "Internet Zone (less
secure but more functional)"
Unfortunately,
the AOL email client does not yet support Java. We recommend using
one of the more powerful, full featured email clients that are available
such as Eudora, Outlook, or Messenger.
Note: The AOL email web interface log-on will support your Java
emails as will any Java enabled browser.

WebTV:
Unfortunately,
